Abilities & Physical Abnormalities: Thumbelina is no bigger than the average human thumb. I have made a Time Compression request effect at the bottom of this application. Thumbelina is also part Fairy, and is capable of growing fairy wings when she reaches her true potential. In the movie, it was being bound in love to Cornelius, in Garden, it will be an empowerment achievement that will allow her to become a fairy, but not for a long while.
Personality: Thumbelina is a dreamer, an idealist, seeing the beauty in the world, looking past the gray and scars to the good within. She is also a bit naive due to her secluded upbringing where she spent most her small years (no pun intended) walking, running, prancing, dancing about her mother's quaint house and tending to their livestock. She learned through the stories she was read and the lessons taught to her since the first day she emerged from a beautiful, magic flower. She spent her days half in fantasies, full of curiosity, eager to help and study, looking at such a big world from her little size, and wondering how she'd spend the rest of her life with such tiny stature. She acknowledged that her much beloved life within her home was a fortunate, wonderful one--but she wanted more.
The night that she learned of fairies was the night that interluded to the beginning of an amazing adventure, and it all started with the eventual love her life: Prince Cornelius of the Fairies. He appeared during one of his escapades of teenage rebellion, and happened to pass by Thumbelina's house, hearing the tiny girl singing. He was so mesmerized that he went to investigate, and the rest is written in history. Cornelius brought out an urge for exploration within Thumbelina. She wanted to go beyond her mother's house, seeing the amazing things that Cornelius had seen, and this was all after he took her heart in one fell swoop of perfectly coordinated song and dance (call it a "date" if you wish).
She's a sweet, friendly person by nature, and is always soft-spoken, never harsh-toned, except when a true slight riles her instinct to defend others and her own feelings. She laughs, giggles, smiles and sings as if it were as simple as breathing air. This is not out of place, since she is technically a fairy. She befriends others with ease, and cares for those she holds dear, even going to great lengths to aiding those who need her aid. She doesn't judge appearances, and never shies away from something that most people would dismiss right from the start. She's very thoughtful and intuitive. She sings when she is so very happy, letting out arias and ballads she makes up from the top of her head, or is taught by her friends and people she meets. She dances as well, and it is noted that her mother, and the livestock of the house, sing and hum along as well (much more, because she is a fairy, she can understand the creatures). She brings happiness to the house and her mother most of all, and for this, Thumbelina is much beloved, and well aware of this truth. Thumbelina believes that it is part of her duty as her mother's daughter (albeit a magical daughter that was born from a flower) to make her mother very happy. To her mother, Thumbelina is very attached, and hates disappointing or worrying the woman.
While she is so very sweet, she is also very sensitive. Since she's lived for so long in her pleasant mother's home with the kind animals and her generous, benevolent mother, she isn't used to cruelty. She doesn't like insults and displays her hurt and embarrassment on her sleeves, such as when the Beetle called her ugly, and then threw her out of the Beetle Ball (which he took her to against her will in the first place). She is so very open emotionally with her trusting nature that it makes her vulnerable to negativity. She especially doesn't like negativity that indicates her appearance, though she is capable of moving from it. Self-concious in the big, outside world, she's still learning how to hold her head up high and walk on by past the jeers and the calls. She's still learning the views of everyone else and learning how to deal with them. She's still developing coping techniques that her mother could only teach briefly for there was no negativity in their warm, happy house.
That said, this tiny girl is definitely not afraid of speaking her mind, but with her soft voice, she is often cut off mid-sentence or even squelched by a bigger hand. Tiny girl, but she can have a big voice when she is frustrated. She can lash out, waving her arms and wobbling, with a flushed face, demanding to know why she can't speak her mind, and it is even possible for her retaliate in minor violence. She's done quite a few foot-stompings in her adventure and isn't against fighting back, doubly so if for a friend in need. She doesn't appreciate being oppressed or manipulated, and definitely doesn't like being forced into situations or commitments where she never had any say in the matter whatsoever.
What are your plans for the character in-game? I want Thumbelina to get a broader education than the one she received in her home with her mother. She will learn about how big the world truly is and acquire new skills that will frustrate, surprise and excite Thumbelina. I also want her to be affected by Time Compression, where she can grow to average teenage girl size during the day, but as soon as the clock strikes nine, she reverts to her little person size.
Anything else? Critical grading on my grammar, please.

i) IC Questionnaire
What do you prefer to be known as? Thumbelina.
How old are you? Mother says that I'm at least sixteen, but I was only born from a flower three years ago.
Do you have any history in combat? Oh no! Well...I would pretend to be knights with the little chicks from the coop sometimes when it was really sunny outside.
If so, have you ever killed? I think...maybe? I don't really know. It makes me feel uncomfortable to think of taking someone's life.
i) How do you feel when you get involved in some project that calls for immediate and rapid activity? It's just like a chore. It needs to get done, and correctly. Or else I'll have to come back and clean things up again, and that's no fun.
ii) Do you organize and initiate leisure activities? I like to think so.
iii) What role do you take when working in a group? I like to be the one who can run errands and collect all the important pieces for everyone. I'm not very good as a leader, but I'm very good at being a helper.
iv) How talkative are you around other people? I think I'm pretty talkative. Is there a definition for not being talkative?
v) What three things would you want to have with you on a desert island? State your reasoning. What is a desert island?
vi) Is it important to be liked by a wide range of people? I think it's enough to be loved by your friends and family. I know that not everyone may like me, and that's okay as long as I still have those I care about.
vii) When the odds are against you, is it worth taking a chance? Oh, definitely!
viii) Do you consider yourself to be an impulsive person? No. I'm more cautious.
ix) Would you agree that planning things ahead takes the fun out of life? That's impossible.
x) Do you like surprises? Like a birthday party surprise?
xi) Do you sometimes wonder if there is something wrong with you? Uhm...can I please not answer that question?
xii) Do you consider yourself to be smarter than your superiors, and disagree with their decisions? Well, who are my superiors? If they're like Mrs. Mouse, or Mrs. Toad, or the Beetle and the Mole, then I'm not really smarter, but I have a right to disagree and not be forced to do things I don't want to do.
xiii) Lastly, how do you feel about cabbages? They're delicious with meat wrapped inside. The kind Mother makes on special occasions.
